He had two wives that I know of . The first was Rachel Reid . She only had two children before her death , Amanda and Stephen Hickman Drake . I am descended from Stephen . After Rachel 's death William married Martha Parris . William had several more children with Martha . Stephen eventually began to travel with his children , ending up in Indiana . My grandfather was born in Gosport , Indiana . Eventually he settled in Lafayette, Indiana where my family still resides. My great grandfather and his other children continued on to Piedmont Kansas . Many of them are buried there. Stephen himself continued on to Beaver County Oklahoma . Some relatives may still live there, but we have gotten out of touch . Time and distance thing .
