Hello Roy
I’m wishing to use your discussion board to try to find family relations. A BDM search as revealed a marriage of convict Elizabeth Harrison/Harrisson/Cowles/Cowle/Cole to Peter McAlpin which took place I believe in Muswellbrook in 1835 which it appears where they lived for many years later. She has also been known to use the name Phoebe.
I am trying to find what happened to them. I have managed to find 2 deaths listed in BDM but I’m not sure if they are ours. There appears to be another McAlpin family in Wollombi.
I need information on 2 people I’ve found in BDM
Elizabeth McAlpin …… died Singleton 1884
Peter McAlpin …… died Singleton 1898
There is also a Infant death Peter McAlpin 1838 (father Peter) with no area given which is interesting as it appears she has a history of miscarrying.
The singleton phone book has a listing for McAlpin however they are new to the area from Albury.
