Hello Roy,
I am trying to find any information on the family of Louisa Woods born 1887/8 at Oakville, Ruddy Creek County. Durham, Patrick Plains. For that matter, the actual location of Patrick Plains or Ruddy Creek would be most helpful as I am really not sure where this is.
There may also be a connection between her and Ann Turner (married to John) of Wollombi. I would be very grateful for any assistance or information you may have which could help me to find out more information. If I could just have info on her parents it would be so helpful. Are you sure its Ruddy Creek and not Reddy Creek??
Patrick Plains is a large area in the Hunter valley and the main town there is Singleton.
The best thing to do is write (or visit)
to the Singleton Family History Society at Singleton.
The society is manned by a collection of very keen volunteers and they have
so many records there at the society room. They also do a $10 research of the
records held at the society. Obviously there is so much info there on the Singleton and district families.
