James was a free settler who arrived in Port Jackson circa 1808 and joined his parents and siblings. He would have been about 30 years old. One brother was Benjamin Singleton explorer and mill builder. They built water mills at Wheeny Creek. and on the Hawkesbury River. Does anyone have any knowledge of James's activities in England in the period 1780 to 1808? |
