Hi My mother inlaws maiden name in "Trindall" and was from Wee Waa. Her father was Les Trindall her grandfather was Alfed Edmund "Robert" Trindall His father was William Buckingham Trindall And His father was Richard Buckingham Trindall. Ive just read a book called "and the women should not weep' by Elva Dale. It is about how William and Elizabeth met and their days at Cuttabri. So I think Clara would have been Roberts older sister. Ive just started getting info so will probably know more in future.

I am currently researching the Trindall family. I am a descendant of Bartholomew Francis Trindall (1864-1939). If you have any information regarding him or any of his siblings, please contact me.

Hi, does anyone have any info on Allan Edward Trindall or his father, Bartholomew Francis Trindall. Bartholomew died in Sydney and Allan died in Narrabri.

Bartholomew was the elder brother of Albert Edmund Robert Trindall.

Hi everybody. I am a descendent of the Trindall family from Great Milton , Oxfordshire England. I would be glad to share any information that I have and am extremly interested if anybody can trace their Australian Trindall heritage back to England. The most prevalent family names appear to be William and Robert.

This has made for interesting reading. Neta McMillan? Married to George McMillan? If so Neta was actually Juanita and was known as Nita or Unita. George and Nita are my grandparents.
Who is your father Elizabeth? This info would make us cousins.
I knew Sharon and her dad Les but had no idea that Aunty Melba was still alive in 2008. My father was Les McMillan, it's sad that he didn't know she was alive as he thought the last of his aunties died with Violet in 1990/91.
We have a colourful family to say the least!!

Hi Midge & Elizabeth,

I am Elizabeth, Great Grandaughter of Melba Clare.
She is 101 and now lives in Blayney with her daughter Patricia.
She is very, very healthy and we're thinking she'll out live us!
Melba has three children still alive. A son Thomas in Coonabarrabran, a daughter Joan in Sydney and the daughter (my nan) whom she lives with in Blayney. She rarely visits coona anymore.

Would love to know more about their history, she doesn't give much away and won't speak about it.

Hi, Looking for information on Chlorine Trindall, she was my great-grandfather Arthur Ernest Wheeler's second wife, they married at Narrabri in 1926. His first wife and my great-grandmother was Rubina Peak who died in 1920 during childbirth I believe. I also believe that Chlorine's sister Hilda, may have married my great-uncle Leslie Wheeler in 1940 after previously being married to a Vaughan Green.

Any info would be a great help. Thanks

Hi there, as posted by Midge McMillan. Midge's great grandparents were also my great grandparents. We are the great grandchildren of William & Elizabeth Trindall who built the Cuttabri Wine Shanty, or the "Bee Hive" as it was called back then. I believ that William died in a nursing home in Narrabri. He was aged over 104 I believe when he died.

Hello Cindy,
Wondering if you might be related to my wife Sharon Giandomenico (nee Fizzell), it seems most Fizzell’s in Australia seem to be related. Like your mum she has a brother Shane and also another brother Alan. Her parents names are Arthur & Patricia Fizzell, Arthur being the son of George & Eva Fizzell.

We’re located here in Wagga Wagga NSW, it would be interesting to see if there’s a connection. I had a brief look at your info you provided and haven’t been able to see any connection so far. Originally Sharon’s ancestors on the Fizzell side came out to Australia from England on the SS Great Britain in 1866.

Best regards,

Carlo Giandomenico

Hi Carlo,
being deemed a ward of the state in 1984, gives me very little insight into my background (hence my posts)my brother and I Christopher lee Trindall (goes by my late Mothers name)were placed in care with the Nancarrow family in 1994 and maintained weekend "access visits" with our Mother Sharon Trindall (Married by Fizzell)my mother died of breast cancer at Tamworth base hospital when I was around the age of ten and both Chris and I remained with the Nancarrow Family in wee waa before moving to Dubbo to begin our higher schooling at Dubbo Christian School... I am now 31 yrs of age and reside in the ACT and am raising a family of my own and persuing my carrer in music..... My Grandmother on my Fathers side passed last year leaving behind the only registered Fizzell's I know of being her Son(My Father) Wayne Fizzell and myself who seem's to be the only one who kept my Father's name exepting that I added an E on the end as I was tierd of my last name being miss pronounced lol..

Hello Cindy,
Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the info, (so sorry about your mum). I believe I have found the connection you have with my wife Sharon, assuming your grandfather's name was Ronald John Fizzell and your grandmother's name was Fay. If so, your ancestors came out from Ireland & England in 1866 on the SS Great Britain which is now on display in Bristol, England. Ronald Fizzell's father was Samuel and his father was Thomas Fizzell. Thomas was the older brother of William Burns Fizzell who was my wife's great grandfather. Anyway, am happy to supply lots more detail if you'd like. It may be easier in email if you prefer. Anyway my email address is carlowagga@gmail.com. Would love to hear from you.
Rgds, Carlo.

Hi Kathy Ottrey - I am related to all the people you mention - my mother's aunt was Chloe, who I believe must be "Chlorine Trindall" you mention. Her sister was Hilda Lillian (who was my grandmother) who was first married to a Green (I didn't know the name Vaughan though) and they had a son together who we stayed in contact with when I was growing up (perhaps his name was John Green from memory). My nanna (Hilda Lillian Green nee Trindall) married my grandfather Leslie Herbert Wheeler and they had 6 daughters. They lived outside of Wee Waa (Wee Waa is about 40 minutes from Narrabri)

My wife is a descendant of Richard Buckingham Trindall and Mary Ann Adams. Trindall was an illegitimate son of Hanna Buckingham and he was born at 'The Heath' and baptised at Eynsham Church Oxfordshire. His father was Richard Trinder a rope maker of Neithorp Banbury. The pair later married and moved to Banbury.
Richard Buckingham Trinder (Trindall) was also a rope maker and was tried at the Oxford Sessions of Peace on 23rd April 1814 and sentenced to 7 years transportation to NSW. He arrived in Sydney on the ship Fanny in 1815. Once released from his sentence he tried to leave the Colony but was prevented because of a mis spelling of his name and missed a boat which subsequently sank on the way to England with the loss of all on board. He remained in Sydney and married Mary Ann Adams in West Maitland where they lived till his death. He is buried at Campbells Hill cemetery. The couple had 11 children.

My children are direct descendents of Bartholomew Francis Trindall and Kate Purser (Gomeroi woman). Her daughter Nina Louisa Trindall married Herbert Barwick and moved to QLD. Nina and Herbert only had one living child Patrick Herbert Barwick. She died at 34 of an ectopic pregnancy. I was married to Patrick and Elsie Ryder's son. My children and myself live in Darwin.
